within category Veolia

Veolia is the global market leader in the provision of environmental solutions to industrial and municipal clients. It is involved in the entire value chain of water (supply of drinkable water, wastewater treatment), waste management (collection, processing and energy/material recovery) and energy services (supply of heating and cooling services or the optimization of industrial processes). Veolia generates c. 69% of its revenues in Europe, with France accounting for c.34%.

Veolia offers all types of waste management services: ranging from collection to landfill, including recycling, incineration and WTE activities. The group also manages water at every stage. Even if revenue from plastic recycling remains relatively low compared to the rest of the group (EUR350m, representing c.1.5% of the group's total and 3.5% of its total waste activity) this is one of the growth areas for the group, as they target reaching EUR800m by 2023 (more than double in three years). The acquisition of Suez should certainly reinforce their position on this front, as both companies have different technologies and plastic targets, all of which will now go to Veolia (Suez will mainly keep its municipality activities).(source: Kepler)
