China current nuclear capacity is 42.80 gigawatts (GW), and represents only 3.90% of the total Chinese electricity production in 2017 (around 1100 GW)
The country wants to cut the portion of fossil fuels to below 80% by 2030
· 110 GW nuclear capacity to fulfil part of this requirement, with gas, hydro, wind, and solar
The main industrials (Huawei, Hon Hai, ZTE, etc) may lack enough electricity to upgrade their manufacturing capabilities
· Industrial power usage may jump by more than 60% by the end of 2025 compared to 2018
In order to meet these targets, country new plans call for 58 GW in operational capacity and 30 GW under construction by 2020
· Electrical equipment providers could see a 15% increase in gross profit
· China will add as much as 450 GW of nuclear capacity by 2050, corresponding to an investment of $1.3 trillion
