The company has a dominant lead in the US e-commerce market, and its Amazon Web Services cloud platform is also a market leader. However, the growth potential of the company is elsewhere. The company is a long way from maximizing e-commerce adoption (it still accounts for less than 15% of all US retail sales), but margins may have topped-out in this business activity. Amazon’s future growth can be found within Cloud services, capacities the company has started building up over the last years. Cloud services can be rolled-out to about anything such as healthcare, healthy living, community markets, amongst others.
