After the disposal of BankWest, the French bank looks set to be one of the top market drivers in Europe. The Bank disposes an excess capital of about €8 billion which it can use for acquisitions, share buybacks and increased dividend payments. Furthermore, fundamentals, i.e., net interest income, exposure to business banking and better trading conditions, are all tailwind for a successful 2023.
