Is Apple entering uncharted territory? Once can say so as the company is hitting another unexpected obstacle. The company’s shares lost more than 4% after its quarterly earnings report was released. At the same time, this announcement dragged the entire market lower on the back that the tech boom might have come to some kind of saturation.

From a technical point of view, the shares of AAPL have not reached yet the oversold territory, but its share price has reached a support level of around $180.-

Outlook: We expect that the weak demand for handsets and other gadgets will stay in place for quite some time. This occurs because consumers may want to prolong the average life-time of their appliances by a few quarters. The critical point for any high-tech company here is that we are approaching Q4 which is normally one of the best quarters in sales.
